AV Copies for Education is a joint society for a number of organisations that represent the copyright owners of TV and radio productions. The society comprises two categories of organisation – a number of author and practitioner organisations and a number of producer organisations. 

The society's highest authority is the Board, on which all of the society's member organisations are represented. The Board therefore comprises two groups – an author and practitioner group and a producer group. The members of the Board elect a chairperson of the Society AV Copies and a further five members to make up the executive committee, on which there must be an equal number of representative from the author and practitioner group and of producers. The members of the Board also elect two to four members to the management board of the Joint Collecting Society Copydan. 

In collaboration with the director of the Joint Collecting Society Copydan, the Board appoints an administrative manager who appoints the other employees. The staff of AV Copies for Education comprises managing director Jacob Hedebrink, and case workers Eva Lykke Andersen and Henriette Basse.
