Distribution

Cable TV safeguards copyright in connection with retransmissions of TV and radio channels in networks. When TV channels are broadcast in a network, Cable TV handles prices and terms for a wide range of these. This means that, through an agreement with Cable TV, an operator can distribute a large number of TV channels without having to take on the time consuming burden of administering copyright. Cable TV makes it possible to distribute TV channels from neighbouring countries (primarily public service channels) and also ensure access to a large number of minority and ethnic TV channels of particular interest to minority groups in Denmark.
