International activities
The global impact on copyright and copyright management is ever increasing. In a world where technology offers new possibilities for the use of copyright protected material across the borders it is important for Reproduction Rights Organizations (RRO’s) to focus on international trends and developments in European and international law.
When Writing enters agreements with customers they are given the possibility to copy both Danish and foreign material. This is due to the system of extended collective licensing (ECL) and the bilateral agreements that Writing has with foreign sister organizations.
Staff at Writing work to ensure that the rights mandated to us through ECL is properly licensed and remunerated both at home and via our bilateral agreements.
Writing in IFRRO
Copydan Writing is a member of the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations (IFRRO).
We comply with the IFRRO Code of Conduct which stipulates the terms for good RRO management and sets the standards for efficient exchange of data and fees across borders.
